This other Eden, demi-Symbolically, the photograph '' Persistence of Eden or forbidden fruit '' is intended to represent a version of the lost paradise. The diffuse light, drooping shapes recall the light veil on human form and the shape at mid-height represents a fruit near the heart. In this sense, it represents the repressed desires of our humanity and this, whatever our culture, religion or belief.

In the Second Labor of Heracles (Hercule) the Hydra of Lerna was a serpentine water monster in Greek and Roman mythology. Later versions story add a regeneration feature to the monster: for every head chopped off, the Hydra would regrow a couple of heads.
